Asas de Socorro is an Christian missionary organization.
We provide logistical air support in the transportation of missionaries, who live in difficult to access places, in the interior of the Brazilian Amazon.
In addition to air transport, we develop educational and health programs in riverside communities in the Amazon - a region that has many unique needs and difficulties in relation to transportation, communication and community development.

1955
The story began in 1955 with the arrival of Harold and Elsie Berk, missionaries from the Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF) who came to Brazil from the United States. Its mission was to implement missionary aviation in our country, mainly in the North region. To do this, they dedicated themselves to learning the Portuguese language and moved to Anápolis (GO), where they established the first aircraft overhaul center.
